Reverse mortgage lender Generation Mortgage today named Sean Sievers as company Chief Financial Officer. With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Sievers most recently served as senior vice president of SunTrust Bank where he led the company’s legacy risk management.
“The management team is excited to have a results-oriented leader supervise the financial division of our rapidly growing company and position us for continued growth in the reverse mortgage industry,” the company said in a statement.
Prior to his role with SunTrust, Sievers held positions as EVP and divisional CFO with Countrywide, and senior director for Freddie Mac. His experience spans risk management, finance and operations, capital markets and sales.

Generation recently rolled out a new software platform to reposition reverse mortgages in the market, which the company anticipates will lead to its growth efforts. The company was listed as No. 7 in the most recent Top-10 reverse mortgage lender analysis by Reverse Market Insight, having closed 2,867 loans in the past 12 months.
