Generation Mortgage Names Cushman as New CEO

Generation Mortgage Company announced today that Colin Cushman has been named as the agency’s new CEO and President.

Having joined Generation as the company’s Chief Risk and Strategy Officer in July 2012, Cushman enters his new position with more than 10 years of government, business, and consulting experience, the company stated.

Additionally, Cushman also has more than five years of industry experience managing the credit risk of the Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) reverse mortgage program.

Before coming aboard Generation, Cushman served as FHA’s Director of Portfolio Analysis, where his duties included risk management, premium pricing and operations.

At FHA, Cushman earned credit within the reverse mortgage industry for his work in the agency’s launch of the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) Saver in 2010.

“Colin Cushman is highly respected as a credible subject matter expert within the reverse mortgage industry,” said Cheryl McNally, the newly hired Chief Sales Officer. “His reputation within HUD, the regulators and the investment community will not only add tremendous value to Generation but to the industry at large.”

The company recently bid goodbye to its longtime chairman, Jeff Lewis, in January.
