Generation Mortgage announced today the hire of Laura Bihuniak Kennedy as a new account executive to the company’s wholesale reverse mortgage team.

Kennedy most recently served as broker care manager for Genworth Financial Home Equity Access and was previously employed by Financial Freedom. She has worked in the reverse mortgage industry since 2001.

Laura’s more than 10 years of experience in various facets of the mortgage industry will serve as an invaluable asset to our sales department in order to provide the high level customer service that our clients have come to expect,” said Kimberly Kerrigan Smith, executive vice president of sales for Generation.

At Genworth, Kennedy was responsible for loan production, training end users on reverse mortgages and the origination platform. Prior to that, she worked for Financial Freedom’s reverse division where she trained brokers on origination software, interpreted guidelines, and assisted seniors in the loan servicing division. She will be based in Generation’s Atlanta office.
