Darin Lee McAllister, 44, of Brentwood, faces a total of 19 counts, including wire fraud and bank fraud, according to a news release from the US Attorney’s office in East Tennessee. The news release said McAllister will be allowed to turn himself in to federal authorities. He is accused of creating a wire fraud scheme to rip off a mortgage company. By lying about his profession and income, his federal indictment said, McAllister was able to get financing to buy rental properties worth $1.25m in 2006.
