The former chief executive of failed mortgage lender Taylor, Bean & Whitaker Mortgage Corp. pleaded guilty to making false statements and fraud conspiracy charges in a $1.5 billion fraud case. Paul Allen, the sixth person to plead guilty to charges related to the fraud, faces up to five years in prison for each of two counts.
