CoreLogic Taps JP Morgan SVP to Lead AVM Development

Susan Allen is joining First American CoreLogic as vice president of strategic relationships from JP Morgan Chase (JPM), where she was senior vice president and chief collateral officer, the same position she held at Washington Mutual. CoreLogic is the automated valuation model (AVM) subsidiary of the First American Corp. (FAF) In her new role, Allen will be responsible for AVM development, cascades and valuation strategies and will report to Ben Graboske, First American CoreLogic senior vice president and chief technology officer. “As a former user and evaluator of AVMs, Susan has a unique perspective on how clients deploy AVMs in loan origination, quality review, portfolio management, trading, and servicing settings,” said Graboske. “During Susan’s tenure in lender risk management, she established herself as a thought leader in the collateral analytics space. Susan continuously challenged status quo thinking and often set the bar for best practices,” he added. “Her insight and testing expertise will help us develop even more accurate models and cascades to solve client problems.” Allen is a 20-year industry veteran, including experience as a risk and operations executive, and her previous tasks include managing collateral risk, appraisal operations, mortgage fraud, payment systems fraud and counterparty trading. She’s held positions at US Bank (USB), GMAC (GJM) ResCap, and Washington Mutual, and later, JP Morgan Chase. She is an alumnae of Michigan State University, where she earned a finance undergraduate degree and she holds an MBA from Indiana University. Changes in the valuation continue to create news, and HousingWire‘s inaugural edition of its new quarterly supplement, HW Focus, explores the valuations and how the industry’s constant changes.
