@properties Christie’s International Real Estate is shaking up its leadership team ahead of the new year. On Thursday, the firm announced the appointments of three executives to new or expanded roles at the company.

The first is Paul Blackburn, who was named executive vice president of agent development and culture. In this role, Blackburn will oversee @properties’s coaching and training programs, direct agent training for new technologies and lead the firm’s agent business-development initiatives across all markets.

Most recently, he served as the vice president of brokerage services for @properties Christie’s International Real Estate’s Goose Island and North Center offices. He has been with @properties since 2010.

Assuming Blackburn’s vacated role at Goose Island is Rachel Scheid. She currently leads @properties’ Gold Coast office, a position she will continue to hold. Scheid joined @properties in 2022 as the firm’s vice president of education. Prior to this she held management roles at Coldwell Banker Realty and Baird & Warner.

Also assuming an expanded role at the company is Rick Sobin, who will now serve as vice president of brokerage services at @properties’ North Center, East Lincoln Park and Bronzeville offices. He has been with the firm for 11 years and has over two decades of real estate management experience.

“Outstanding leadership is one of the most important drivers of agent success and growth, and we have the best leadership team in the country,” Thad Wong, co-founder and co-CEO of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, said in a statement. “Paul, Rachel, and Rick exemplify that standard. Their track records; agent-first approach; and deep knowledge of market, transaction and relationship dynamics give the agents they work with a true competitive advantage.”

Wong’s firm was acquired by Compass in December of 2024
