Atlanta-based AFR and Associates, Inc. has lost its contract covering the state of Georgia with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, HUD announced this morning. HUD said it has named Atlanta-based PEMCO, Ltd. as its Management and Marketing Contractor servicing the state of Georgia, effective immediately. Management and Marketing Contractors for HUD are reponsible for the marketing and management of real estate portfolios owned by the government agency within a given region. PEMCO said in a statement that it will retain Tulsa, Okla.-based First Preston Management, Inc. on a subcontractor basis to continue its management of properties in the state. First Prestion was serving as subcontractor for Georgia’s HUD properties under AFR.
