As president of New American Funding, Patty Arvielo maintains a well-recognized leadership role in real estate and mortgage lending. She continues to originate, booking millions in home loans each month on her own, while managing operations and sales for the company’s headquarters, approximately 130 branches and more than 2,400 employees. p_arvielo

This past year, Arvielo has increased the activity of her own Latino Focus initiative, an organization whose mission is to identify and address challenges Hispanic consumers face in their pursuit of homeownership. She also serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Consumer Affairs Advisory Council for the Mortgage Bankers Association, as well as frequently visiting Washington, D.C. to lobby on behalf of the industry and homeowners. In 2017, due to her vast industry background, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau appointed Arvielo to serve on its Consumer Advisory Board to provide the agency with expertise on a broad range of consumer financial matters and emerging market trends.

Last year, Arvielo collaborated with Freddie Mac to establish and launch a unique mortgage pilot program, Your Path, which makes affordable homeownership opportunities available to a broader demographic of borrowers.

Arvielo’s community involvement includes serving on the executive board of Big Brothers Big Sisters Orange County, where she has worked, through her board seat with BBBS, to bring a new mentorship program in house to New American Funding.
