Starkey Mortgage hires new senior vice president

Donald Jarrett brings 25 years of mortgage experience to company

Starkey Mortgage, a residential mortgage company, recently announced Donald Jarrett as its new senior vice president of process management.

Jarrett’s main focus is to improve support to the sales staff, and therefore the borrower experience. He will also improve productivity and quality by developing loan process work flow efficiencies as well as provide structural support to the front line managers in sales and operations.

“Don comes to Starkey with an extensive background in mortgage operations and will initially use that experience to improve support to our loan officers, which includes a customization and refinement of the loan application,” said Jim Clapp, Starkey Mortgage president and chief financial officer.

“Our team works hard to understand the needs of our customers and tailors solutions that help our customers achieve the goal of home ownership,” Clapp said. “As technology evolves, a strong operations team that supports our customers and loan officers is a big part of achieving that goal.”

Jarrett brings with him 25 years of mortgage experience with experience in leadership and staff management, process and pipeline management and compliance and quality assurance. He is based in Plano, Texas and will report to Doug Casbon, Starkey Mortgage executive vice president of national production.
