McCalla Raymer, LLC announced the firm’s expansion and the opening of a new office in Oxford, Miss.
Jim DeLoach, who recently served as executive vice president of the now-closed Butler & Hosch, P.A., will join the firm as senior counsel and David Flautt (pictured below) will join the firm as an associate.
DeLoach (pictured above) joins the firm from Butler & Hosch, which closed recently and laid of all 700 of its employees after the firm filed for an Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors to Florida law firm Michael E. Moecker & Associates, an action analogous to Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
According to a release from McCalla Raymer, both DeLoach and Flautt bring extensive experience representing clients in the mortgage servicing and real estate services industry to McCalla Raymer.
The new office will be McCalla Raymer’s first in Mississippi.
“We are very excited about the expansion of the firm. We put a lot of thought into this expansion and feel that opening of our new Mississippi office is a perfect fit for our Southeast Regional model,” said Marty Stone, the firm’s managing partner.
“The addition of two very experienced real estate attorneys to our team also speaks volumes of our organization’s depth and hopes for the future of our industry,” Stone added.
