Wendy Morrell is head of Relationship Retail Home Lending and Home Equity Strategist at U.S. Bank, where she oversees the Consumer Direct and Corporate Relocation lending channels while helping guide strategy for the bank’s home equity business. With decades of mortgage experience, she has built a reputation for developing specialized lending programs, leading high-performing teams and creating alignment across complex organizations.
Morrell joined U.S. Bank 10 years ago to build its Corporate Relocation mortgage business from the ground up. Under her leadership, the division grew into a business generating more than $1 billion in annual originations. Her success led to expanded responsibilities that now include leadership of Consumer Direct lending as well as enterprise-wide home equity strategy.
Today, Morrell leads teams responsible for approximately $2.7 billion in annual mortgage production and oversees more than 170 employees, including over 120 loan originators. In recent years, she has worked across multiple business lines and distribution channels to strengthen collaboration, identify growth opportunities and align priorities related to home equity lending and customer engagement.
Through her leadership, U.S. Bank has continued to expand and refine its home lending capabilities while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, operational performance and long-term growth. Her ability to build consensus and drive results across large organizations has made her a valued leader throughout the bank.
