Tracie Hunter is senior managing director of Digital Product and Delivery at PennyMac, where she leads a 250-person organization responsible for product management, technology delivery and digital transformation initiatives. With 35 years of mortgage industry experience, she has helped drive large-scale technology implementations and operational improvements across lending and servicing platforms.
Over the past year, Hunter led one of PennyMac’s most significant technology initiatives: the migration of the Consumer Direct Lending channel to the Vesta loan origination system. The project, completed through a phased rollout, resulted in substantial efficiency gains for both loan officers and fulfillment teams while improving operational scalability and workflow management.
Hunter has also been a leading advocate for artificial intelligence adoption within the organization. She developed and delivered an AI education program for senior executives and has supported the deployment of AI-powered tools designed to improve customer service, automate routine tasks and enhance operational performance across lending and servicing functions.
Beyond technology leadership, Hunter is committed to mentorship and professional development. She co-founded Women Empowering Mentorships, Relationships and Growth (wEMRG), PennyMac’s largest employee resource group, which supports networking, leadership development and career growth opportunities for women and their allies throughout the organization.
She also serves on the board of the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast and mentors students through STEM Advantage. Through her work in technology, innovation and leadership development, Hunter continues to help shape the future of digital mortgage operations.
