Marina Walsh is vice president of Industry Analysis at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where she leads several of the industry’s most widely referenced research, benchmarking and performance analysis programs. Through her work, she has become a trusted source of insight on mortgage banking performance, servicing trends and broader housing finance issues.
Walsh oversees key MBA initiatives including the Mortgage Bankers Performance Reports, Servicing Operations Study and Forum, Mortgage Banking Compensation Survey Program and Peer Group Survey and Roundtable Program. She also serves as MBA’s spokesperson for the National Delinquency Survey, providing analysis and commentary on mortgage servicing performance and housing market trends that are followed closely by lenders, policymakers and industry stakeholders.
In addition to her research leadership, Walsh is deeply involved in industry education. She regularly conducts executive roundtables, specialty workshops and educational programs focused on operational performance, servicing and mortgage banking trends. She also serves as an instructor for MBA Education programs, including the Schools of Mortgage Servicing and the Future Leaders Program, helping develop the next generation of mortgage industry professionals.
Walsh earned the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation in 2020, the industry’s highest professional credential.
