Lynn Calahan, chief data officer at Alpha7X, leads product strategy, standards integration and data governance initiatives focused on helping lenders navigate an increasingly data-driven and technology-enabled mortgage environment. With over 25 years of experience across mortgage lending, regulatory compliance, data standards and technology, she has played a significant role in shaping many of the frameworks and datasets that the industry relies on today.
Calahan currently serves in several leadership roles within MISMO, including vice chair of Residential Governance and Chair of the Council of Chairs. Over the past year, she has continued advancing the Mortgage Compliance Dataset (MCD), a framework she authored that is expected to serve as a national loan examination file for state banking supervisors. She remains actively involved in educating industry practitioners on the dataset and its implications for compliance, regulatory oversight and mortgage data standardization.
Throughout her career, Calahan has contributed to some of the mortgage industry’s most important data initiatives. At Fannie Mae, she led development of the Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset and Uniform Appraisal Dataset as part of the Uniform Mortgage Data Program. At Wells Fargo, she directed enterprise regulatory initiatives related to TRID, QM/ATR and HMDA. She served at the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Financial Research, where she contributed to work involving mortgage loan identifiers and financial data transparency standards.
At Alpha7X, Calahan applies this experience to the development of mortgage data frameworks and artificial intelligence solutions. By combining regulatory expertise, standards leadership and product strategy, she helps shape how mortgage data, compliance and technology evolve across the housing finance industry.
