Elan Chambers is senior vice president of Government Relations & Business Development at Auction.com, where she works with federal housing agencies, policymakers, servicers and industry stakeholders to support solutions for distressed homeowners and communities. Her work focuses on connecting housing policy, marketplace data and operational execution to improve outcomes throughout the foreclosure and disposition process.
Over the past year, Chambers played a key role in helping federal housing partners evaluate foreclosure sale strategies and pricing decisions through the use of marketplace data and industry insights. Her efforts have supported discussions around increasing third-party foreclosure sales, reducing the number of properties entering REO status and returning homes to productive use more quickly. She has worked with legislators, agency stakeholders and housing organizations to advance conversations around homeowner protections, loss mitigation opportunities and transparency throughout the foreclosure process.
A significant area of focus has been educating federal agencies about pre-foreclosure alternatives, including SmartSale, a program designed to provide distressed homeowners with additional opportunities to sell their homes before foreclosure. Following the program’s rollout, lead activity and servicer participation increased significantly, helping expand awareness of available options for at-risk homeowners.
Within Auction.com, Chambers is a resource for teams navigating complex agency, compliance and policy matters. She works across business development, legal, operations and product teams to help resolve issues involving HUD, USDA and VA programs while strengthening relationships with agency partners and clients.
Through her work in policy engagement, business development and housing advocacy, Chambers continues to contribute to efforts that support homeowners, communities and the broader housing ecosystem.
