Simon Vassalo has quickly built a scalable real estate platform centered on agent development, market expansion and community impact. After entering the industry at 18, Vassalo went on to close more than 150 transactions before launching Elevate in 2023. Today, he leads and manages three branch offices and has helped grow Elevate to more than 60 agents across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Over the past year, Vassalo has played a major role in expanding Elevate’s footprint and strengthening Coldwell Banker Realty’s presence in new markets. He helped grow the organization across two states while also leading the push into Pennsylvania at a corporate level, establishing a Coldwell Banker Realty presence in an area where no nearby offices previously existed. That expansion contributed to stronger productivity, retention and market share across multiple regions.
Vassalo has also helped reshape the professional landscape in his market by mentoring and empowering a younger generation of agents in a county where the average agent demographic had historically skewed much older. His leadership reflects a focus not just on production, but on building a longer-term platform for agent growth and sustainability.
One of his key initiatives over the past year was the launch of Elevate Academy, an in-house training platform that provides hands-on education, coaching and skill development, particularly for newer agents entering the business. Outside of the office, he has also been active in community efforts through the Happy Homes Project, supporting local families and charitable initiatives. His work continues to balance growth, mentorship and community impact.
What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?
I would tell my younger self that the challenges you’re facing today are not roadblocks — they’re building blocks. Growing up as a first-generation kid while helping support a single mom through the aftermath of a domestic abuse situation wasn’t easy, but it taught resilience, responsibility and the importance of creating a better path forward. Never give up on your dreams, because the strength you gain from those difficult moments will one day become the foundation for everything you build.
