2026 Rising Star: Seamus Mulroy

Seamus Mulroy

Seamus Mulroy has advanced quickly at Constellation HomeBuilder Systems, moving from business development analyst intern to director of Data Services in just five years. In his current role, he leads initiatives across data migration, analytics, next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) enablement and artificial intelligence.

Mulroy manages a portfolio of data and AI platforms that support customer onboarding, data standardization, reporting and advanced analytics across the company’s product ecosystem. His work helps transform complex homebuilding data into more accessible, decision-ready insights for customers while supporting adoption of new ERP technologies and stronger data-driven decision-making.

Over the past year, Mulroy has continued to play an active role in AI-driven product strategy while also supporting go-to-market efforts. He is regularly called on to translate technical topics into clear, customer-facing narratives for executives, clients and industry audiences. That ability to bridge technical depth and business communication has made him a valuable presence in both internal planning and external representation.

Mulroy also frequently represents the company through customer speaking engagements, media interviews and industry conference participation. Internally, he is trusted to organize and lead discussions involving senior leadership and cross-functional teams across product, marketing and executive functions.

Known for his curiosity and collaborative mindset, Mulroy also makes a point to recognize and elevate the contributions of others in demos and meetings. His leadership continues to strengthen how Constellation connects data services to real-world customer needs across the homebuilding technology space.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

During my first internship years ago with Constellation HomeBuilder Systems, my manager Paolo Benzan and our group president, Chris Graham, both gave me the same advice: Be curious about the business, not just the parts in front of you, but all of it. As someone without any homebuilding experience, that was imperative. It meant diving into processes, technologies and elements of the industry I had zero familiarity with to understand why and how we did things and, ultimately, to understand the value proposition we bring to our customers and what problem we’re solving for them. It’s always easier to complete what’s asked of you and move on once that is done. That gets the job done, but it doesn’t always grow your skill set or deepen your understanding. Taking the extra time to fully understand a project, a process or a technology, even when it wasn’t immediately required, is what really accelerated my learning. A lot of that curiosity didn’t serve an immediate need, but it built a foundation I continue to rely on every day. There were countless times where something I had spent time learning turned out to be exactly what a project needed months later, often before I even recognized it had any applicability. That advice didn’t just help me learn a new industry; it instilled a habit of continuous learning that has become even more critical now as our business navigates the rapid evolution of AI and data.

Remaining curious isn’t something that served me well once early in my career; it’s something that continues to drive how I approach my work every day.
