Roberto Galaviz has become a key financial strategist in Offerpad’s transformation from a single-product iBuyer into a multisolution real estate platform. After earning five promotions in six years, he now serves as vice president of FP&A, where he leads the financial architecture supporting one of the company’s most significant periods of change.
Following his promotion, Galaviz took ownership of the financial framework behind Offerpad’s shift to a four-solution business model. His work supported some of the company’s strongest efficiency metrics to date, including a 37.5% year-over-year reduction in operating expenses and a 50% sequential improvement in EBITDA. He also developed the multisegment financial models behind approximately $140 million in annualized cost reductions and the company’s path toward profitability by the end of 2026.
Galaviz oversees financial planning across both capital-intensive and asset-light business lines, manages liquidity forecasting and builds scenario analyses to support Offerpad’s ramp from roughly 300 to 1,000 quarterly transactions. His institutional knowledge, spanning the company’s evolution from startup to public company to strategic reinvention, has made him a valuable leader across the organization.
His influence extends beyond finance. The planning and analysis he and his team provide help inform decisions across operations, sales and technology, giving leadership clearer insight into capital allocation and product expansion.
With a background at Intel, Galaviz brings a systems-oriented, technology-minded approach to real estate finance. His work continues to help guide Offerpad’s reinvention through disciplined financial modeling, strategic creativity and strong cross-functional support.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I ever received came from one of my first managers early in my career. He told me that the most important thing I could do to be a great finance partner was to truly learn the business, not just the numbers. Whether it was understanding the inner mechanics of complex technology or the dynamics of the real estate market, he emphasized that an educated finance partner builds stronger trust with operations and becomes a better representative of the business as a whole.
That advice has stayed with me. I’ve always believed that my work is most impactful when it’s grounded in real operational understanding. Learning is a genuine passion of mine, so whenever I’m introduced to a new industry, function or challenge, I intentionally invest the time to understand it deeply. I’ve found that this not only strengthens decision-making but also builds credibility and partnership, which is ultimately how finance professionals truly succeed.
