2026 Rising Star: Nicole Krouse

Copy of Nicole Krouse

Nicole Krouse has led a major shift in how Closinglock shows up in the market, helping the company evolve from a provider focused on secure wire instructions into a broader platform for secure money movement in real estate. As vice president of Marketing, Krouse has aligned brand strategy, go-to-market execution and executive visibility around that larger vision.

Over the past year, she led a full company rebrand that clarified Closinglock’s role as infrastructure for secure real estate payments. The rebrand launched at ALTA One and brought greater consistency across product positioning, sales messaging and executive communications.

Under Krouse’s leadership, marketing-sourced pipeline grew more than 70% year over year, generating eight figures in opportunity value without a proportional increase in spend. She also introduced a repeatable go-to-market playbook across five major product launches, implemented lifecycle automation to improve customer adoption and built enablement processes that reduced ad hoc requests by 77%. During that time, SecurePay adoption increased 30% year to date as sales alignment and customer education improved.

Krouse also established Closinglock’s first formal public relations and thought leadership program. Media mentions rose from 27 to 90 over the past year and the company’s share of voice reached 53%, surpassing the combined visibility of several major competitors.

By combining brand clarity with revenue accountability and operational discipline, Krouse has helped position Closinglock as both a technology provider and a trusted voice in the modernization of real estate transactions.

What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?

I would tell my younger self: keep laying track.

There’s a Shonda Rhimes quote I return to often: “You keep writing, you keep laying track down, no matter what, because the train of production is coming toward you.” Markets move. Customers evolve. Growth doesn’t pause while you perfect your plan.

Leadership isn’t about reacting when the moment arrives — it’s about laying track ahead of it. The sooner you understand that momentum is constant, the sooner you shift from executing tasks to architecting systems that carry the company forward.
