Micah Dunham has built a career across multiple areas of the mortgage industry, from origination and operations to capital markets, bringing an end-to-end understanding of the loan lifecycle to his leadership today. As Capital Markets leader at NEO Home Loans Powered by Better, he has played an important role in strengthening investor alignment and improving loan execution across the organization.
When NEO first partnered with Better, Dunham was one of the company’s key fulfillment leaders, focused primarily on helping branches access the tools and products needed to serve more families. During the transition of nearly 300 team members, he identified a critical need for greater focus on investors and capital markets and leaned into an area where he previously had only limited exposure.
Within six months, Dunham stepped into a leadership role in the department. Since then, his work has helped improve investor relationships, support more consistent loan execution and create measurable gains in client experience, branch confidence, mortgage advisor retention and overall revenue stability.
Dunham is known for stepping into complexity, taking ownership and helping connect strategy to day-to-day execution. He works across sales, operations and finance to ensure decisions are aligned, actionable and supportive of both business performance and client outcomes.

What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?
Never settle for comfortable. There are always opportunities to learn and grow but those are most impactful when you step outside of your comfort zone. It’s by taking risks and stretching that comfort zone higher and farther that true career growth will be realized. Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
