Lindsey Hughes has built a career in mortgage valuation by combining operational expertise with a collaborative leadership style that prioritizes both team performance and client relationships. After beginning her career as a temporary employee nearly two decades ago, Hughes now serves as vice president of Servicing Valuation at ServiceLink.
In this role, Hughes oversees all aspects of servicing valuation operations, including client onboarding, reporting, audits, workflow design, integrations and quality control for appraisal and broker valuation products. She works closely with other servicing managers and technology teams to support major system initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
Over the past year, Hughes partnered with the origination valuation team to implement a new appraisal quality control platform designed to improve client efficiency and enhance review capabilities. She also served as the business lead for a broker product redesign project aimed at streamlining workflows, improving data access and strengthening quality control across broker and agent panels.
Hughes frequently works with IT teams to support integrations, automation initiatives and technology enhancements, including projects connected to ServiceLink’s EXOS digital mortgage platform. Her ability to balance client needs with operational realities has made her a key contributor to technology development across the organization.
Known for her calm and solutions-focused approach, Hughes remains closely involved with clients while empowering her team to take ownership of their work and continuously improve processes.
What is one habit that has helped you succeed?
I think one habit that has helped me to succeed has been asking questions and trying to learn as much as I can about everything. Not just the “how to,” but how does it work and why. It not only helped me become a subject matter expert, which can help grow a career, but also to have a better understanding of what we do and what we can do to continuously improve and do better for our teams, the company and our clients.
