Leah Campbell is helping lead one of the most important transitions underway in real estate valuation. As director of Product Management at Clear Capital, she is the product leader behind AURA, the company’s AI-driven collateral analyzer designed to automate appraisal risk assessment and improve accuracy, consistency and decision-making at scale.
Her work has become especially important as the industry shifts to the new Uniform Appraisal Dataset 3.6 standard, a major overhaul that moves appraisal reporting from fixed forms to a more dynamic, data-driven structure. Campbell has served as a hands-on guide for lenders, appraisal firms and investors navigating that change, helping position AURA to reduce friction and support more confident appraisal review workflows.
Over the past year, Campbell has continued to evolve AURA by strengthening its rule sets, deepening integration into Clear Capital’s broader business and supporting rigorous historical back-testing to improve the platform’s data foundation and value for lenders. She also helped expand AURA’s use cases by integrating ClearPhoto, Clear Capital’s AI-driven photo review technology, to reduce photo-related revision requests and streamline workflows for appraisers and appraisal management companies. One customer reported reducing its correction request rate from 65% to 5% after implementation.
Campbell has also helped broaden AURA’s application for capital markets participants, enabling investors to detect and manage collateral risk across large loan portfolios at scale. Her leadership reflects a strong focus on real-world usability, industry education and practical modernization across the appraisal review process.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
The best piece of advice I have ever received is, “There is little you can control in the world except your reaction.” A lot of pain, fear, and anxiety stem from the feeling of being out of control, whether the issue is in your personal life, your professional life, or within your own mind. Once I really engaged in the possibility of change through how I reacted, I saw quickly how that impacted my surroundings and did influence movement in areas I could not control directly.
