Kate Pisano has played a leading role in how First American is approaching enterprise AI adoption across the title and settlement industry. As lead strategic operations manager, Pisano has helped guide the rollout of advanced AI tools in a way that balances speed, governance and employee enablement.
Over the past year, she has been central to the deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise across First American, helping bring the tool to more than 19,000 employees in the span of one month. The rollout exceeded the company’s activation goals in its first 90 days, and adoption has continued to increase as her team works with business units to drive practical use across the organization.
Alongside the deployment, Pisano has led AI training and upskilling efforts, creating a structured program that includes role-based learning, introductory and advanced sessions, self-paced training and opportunities for employees to learn directly from OpenAI and through LinkedIn Learning. She also helped build an AI champions network to provide more personalized support for teams across the business.
Pisano further shaped the company’s broader AI strategy through development of the AI Liaison Network, which connects representatives from business units and international regions to share insights, align on use cases and mitigate risk before scaling initiatives enterprise-wide.
Her work reflects a people-first approach to innovation, emphasizing that AI should enhance human expertise rather than replace it. By pairing strong adoption with structured education and collaboration, Pisano has helped First American build a more confident and coordinated foundation for long-term AI use.
What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?
The ability to adapt — especially in moments of rapid technological change — has allowed me to step into new challenges with confidence and help others navigate change as well. Having studied marine biology and gained a background in conservation and nonprofit management, my career definitely doesn’t look how my younger self imagined. Despite that, every day is fascinating and different, and I’ve enjoyed throwing myself into different industries and building on the skills I’ve gained across my career. To me, flexibility is a strength that allows me to jump into new things and approach them with vigor, excitement and a desire to learn. This is a skill that has truly come in handy as we take on the new technological frontier that is AI.
