Jake Diekfuss has spent more than a decade helping build and lead the investor enablement function that supports pricing accuracy within Optimal Blue’s capital markets platform. As vice president of Investor & Comergence Enablement, he leads the team responsible for processing thousands of daily investor rate sheets and configuring them within Optimal Blue’s product, pricing and eligibility engine.
That work plays a critical role in ensuring lenders can price and lock loans accurately in real time. Under Diekfuss’ leadership, investor rate sheets are delivered within minutes of posting, and changes in pricing and eligibility are reflected quickly, helping lenders avoid pricing discrepancies, reduce risk and compete with greater precision.
Over the past year, Diekfuss helped lead a newly consolidated enablement model that brought investor relations analysts and content specialists into a single, strategically aligned organization. His scope now also includes oversight of the PPE training team, where he helps develop the next generation of analysts by pairing technical configuration with a deeper understanding of mortgage rationale.
Diekfuss began his career at Optimal Blue 13 years ago as a content specialist, joining the company directly out of college with a math degree and no prior mortgage experience. By manually translating investor rate sheets and guidelines into structured system logic, he developed the analytical foundation that still shapes his leadership today.
He is regularly relied upon by product, business analysis, sales and revenue teams for thoughtful solutions that strengthen how investor data is represented to clients and prospects. His work continues to reinforce investor content as a strategic asset within Optimal Blue’s platform.
What is one habit that has helped you succeed?
My success starts with routine — not because every day goes according to plan, but because it rarely does. I try to begin each morning with a workout, log on early, check in with my managers and set my priorities before the inevitable curveballs arrive. In a role where investor changes and market shifts can reshape the day in an instant, that structure gives me a steady foundation and helps me stay grounded and adaptable when the unexpected comes up.
