Bo Seamands has been a major driver of growth at Merchants Mortgage & Trust Corporation, where he leads the company’s top-performing sales team and continues to rank among its top originators nationwide. As senior vice president of Loan Originations, Seamands combines strong personal production with long-term leadership and deep knowledge of the company’s non-owner-occupied lending business.
Over the past year, Seamands played a central role in one of the company’s most significant periods of expansion. Merchants’ Arizona market grew by 90%, with more than half of that growth directly tied to his individual production. Nationally, his own volume increased nearly 25% year over year over the last two years, further strengthening the company’s market position in fix-and-flip, ground-up construction, multifamily and DSCR financing.
Seamands is also known internally for handling some of the company’s most complex transactions, bringing a creative and solutions-oriented approach that helps move challenging deals to closing. His ability to generate revenue while supporting those around him has made him a cornerstone of the organization’s broader performance.
He joined Merchants more than 12 years ago, immediately after college, and has grown from junior loan originator to senior vice president. Over that time, he has become a trusted leader within the company, actively mentoring junior originators, supporting business development across the Southwest and contributing to the company’s strategic direction. His combination of sustained production, team leadership and institutional knowledge continues to make him a key part of Merchants’ growth.
