Scott Kirkessner

Scott Kirkessner is vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Castle & Cooke Mortgage, where he has built a marketing strategy centered on consumer engagement, loan officer enablement and measurable business growth. With a four-person team, Kirkessner has helped drive more than $418 million in influenced funded loan volume over the past five years by focusing on systems that support both borrowers and loan officers.

Over the past year, Kirkessner identified a major gap in traditional mortgage marketing: many loan officers were not actively using the campaigns and content provided to them. In response, he rebuilt the company’s strategy around a business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) model designed to engage consumers and referral partners directly, regardless of individual loan officer participation.

A major component of that shift was the overhaul of the company’s Grow Time marketing toolkit and email strategy. Kirkessner implemented segmented communications tailored to funded borrowers, abandoned applicants and referral partners using targeted education-focused messaging instead of generic referral requests. The initiative achieved 100% adoption among loan officers and contributed to 277 funded loans totaling nearly $79 million in volume.

Kirkessner also helped expand the company’s use of customer intelligence analytics through Total Expert, generating an additional 227 loans and more than $61 million in funded volume since mid-2023. Known for blending analytical strategy with team leadership, he continues to position marketing as a scalable growth engine rooted in long-term relationship building and operational consistency.
