Bennett Richardson is chief marketing and communications officer at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), where he oversees brand, advertising, creative strategy, content, social and digital for the nation’s largest trade association. Joining NAR during a period of significant industry change, Richardson has worked to strengthen the REALTOR® brand and bring greater cohesion to how the association communicates with members, consumers, the press and the public.
Over the past year, Richardson led the development and launch of NAR’s national consumer campaign, “More Than Opening Doors.” The multichannel effort spans video, audio, social, digital, search and out-of-home, with a creative strategy designed to reshape public perception of more than 1.4 million REALTORS® and highlight the value they bring beyond the transaction.
The campaign’s digital strategy uses real-time behaviors and intent signals to reach potential first-time buyers, reflecting Richardson’s focus on modern, data-driven marketing. In parallel, he established a clearer strategic framework and editorial voice for NAR communications, helping create consistency during a period of institutional change.
Richardson also developed the REALTOR® News “Change Agents” podcast to connect members more directly with NAR leaders and helped produce the association’s first-ever annual report, reinforcing transparency and trust across key audiences.
