Aurora Swithenbank is executive vice president and chief financial officer of National MI. Since stepping into the role in 2024, she has focused on strengthening the company’s long-term capital strategy and financial resilience. Over her first two years as chief financial officer, she has led efforts to enhance cost efficiency, structural protection and capital relief through multiyear forward flow reinsurance treaties across both Quota Share and Excess of Loss markets.
Swithenbank brings 25 years of finance experience, including leadership during the financial crisis, partnership at Goldman Sachs and service as chief financial officer of Vantage. At National MI, she directed the company’s 2025 reinsurance program, negotiating and executing forward flow treaties designed to improve capital efficiency, risk distribution and financial predictability. These transactions supported stable long-term capacity and reinforced the company’s ability to reach record levels of insurance-in-force.
Beyond reinsurance strategy, she has contributed to shaping National MI’s broader financial outlook by aligning capital planning with investor expectations and long-term value creation. Through market relationships and negotiated agreements, she has strengthened the company’s risk distribution framework and capital position while supporting operational readiness for future growth.
