Patty Arvielo is co-founder and CEO of New American Funding (NAF), one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the U.S. and the largest woman- and Latina-owned mortgage company in the country. With more than two decades at the helm, she has helped shape NAF’s mission, culture and strategic direction, guiding the company through periods of significant industry change.
Her leadership has been especially focused on expanding homeownership among underrepresented communities. Through initiatives like NAF Latino Focus, NAF Black Impact and NAF Heroes, Arvielo continues to lead efforts that address affordability gaps and systemic barriers in the housing market.
She is also the architect of NAF’s workplace culture known as “NAF360,” a model built on trust and respect across all levels of the organization. Under her leadership, the company earned its 10th consecutive Great Place to Work® certification in 2025 and was once again named to Fortune’s list of Best Companies to Work For.
Outside of NAF, Arvielo contributes her expertise through service on several boards and councils, including the Harvard Kennedy School Board, the Mortgage Bankers Association Residential Board of Governors and the boards of Century Communities and Community Bank. She is also the namesake of the Patty Arvielo School of Business and Management at Vanguard University — the first such honor for a Latina in the U.S.
Through her work, Arvielo remains focused on long-term impact — both within her organization and across the housing and financial services industries.
