Melissa Dick serves as the senior vice president of Corporate Projects at Freedom Mortgage, where she plays a central role in driving enterprise-wide initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Working closely with the chief operating officer, she leads two critical teams focused on optimizing the loan closing process and managing vendor relationships. Her efforts have resulted in significant improvements in billing accuracy, reduced duplicate services and multi-million-dollar savings for the company.
Over the past year, she led a project that streamlined vendor billing processes, decreasing invoice errors and eliminating duplicate charges. Under her leadership, the vendor management team also renegotiated contract terms and pricing structures in response to market shifts, positioning the company for future savings as production scales.
Dick has also been instrumental in advancing Freedom Mortgage’s e-Mortgage program, overseeing the rollout of hybrid e-closings and e-Note capabilities across 29 states. These initiatives have transformed the company’s closing practices, with over half of closings now conducted electronically. She is currently leading efforts to implement Remote Online Notarization, a move expected to benefit military families and enhance flexibility for borrowers.
Her leadership extends beyond operations. She actively mentors emerging leaders, several of whom have advanced through internal promotion after completing the company’s leadership development program. She also supports community organizations such as Dress for Success and Buddy Ball. Effective June 2025, Dick will transition to the role of deputy chief compliance officer, a reflection of her strategic impact and the trust placed in her by senior leadership.
