Hansen spearheaded the creation of the Borrower Needs List, an AI-driven tool that drafts personalized borrower emails, generates clear document requests and extracts dynamic data from the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA). By automating communication and integrating with Clear Docs, the tool reduces repetitive outreach, shortens document collection times and accelerates the path to underwriting. Hansen also led development of an agentic AI assistant that earned second place at the Digital Mortgage 2025 Innovation Challenge. The system’s voice-prompt interface enables loan officers to gather data, modify loan information and compose messages directly within Microsoft Teams—streamlining workflows beyond the loan origination software (LOS).
His leadership extends beyond product development. Hansen drives a companywide focus on responsible AI adoption, organizing cross-functional training and aligning large language model (LLM) and robotic process automation (RPA) expertise to scale automation across CMG’s operations. Enhanced pipeline views, automated marketing triggers and scenario guidance tools further strengthen loan officer performance and borrower engagement. By turning advanced AI research into production-ready tools, Hansen has helped CMG Financial deliver faster, more efficient and more client-centered mortgage experiences.
