Ricardo Beer has been a driving force behind The Agency’s rapid expansion and global success since joining the company in May 2012, just months after its founding. Rising from a college intern to vice president of Franchise Sales, he has played a pivotal role in the company’s strategic growth, contributing to over $3 billion in annual sales volume and leading its expansion into new domestic and international markets.
As the top franchise salesperson year after year, Beer has been instrumental in launching more than half of The Agency’s 60-plus offices worldwide. He single-handedly built the Franchise and Expansion Divisions from the ground up, running both independently for six years before assembling a dedicated team. His expertise and deep industry knowledge have helped transform The Agency from a boutique brokerage into a globally recognized powerhouse.
Working alongside industry veteran Jim Ramsay, Beer continues to shape The Agency’s strategic North American expansion, ensuring that every new office embodies the company’s signature white-glove service and boutique experience. A Southern California native and Penn State graduate in public relations and advertising, he approaches his work with a client-first mindset, believing that excellence at every level defines The Agency’s success.
Beyond franchise growth, Beer has refined operational processes, developed expansion strategies and strengthened the company’s overall business model. His hands-on leadership and deep relationships with franchise owners and agents have made him a trusted advisor and a key architect of The Agency’s continued rise as a leader in luxury real estate.
What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?
I think what really sticks out for me is my career journey as a whole. I started as an intern out of college when The Agency had only three employees and 10 agents, and have worked my way up the ladder, now serving as vice president with the brokerage having more than 200 employees and 3,000 agents. The biggest lesson I have learned throughout my career is to take things one day at a time. It is incredibly difficult to look 10-15 years ahead when you start at the very bottom of a company’s totem pole, but it’s so much more manageable to look at being the best employee I can be today.
