What is one thing you would tell a younger version of yourself?
Focus more on the growth than the outcome. When I first started my career, I believed I could solve any problem and was always ready for the next step — next title, the next promotion, the next opportunity — often missing the value of what I was experiencing at the moment. I’ve found that experience and ego have an inverse relationship — as my experience has grown, I’ve become more and more aware of how much I still have to learn about the nuances and intricacies of effective leadership. I’ve come to appreciate that everyone you work with brings something unique to the table — whether it’s caring deeply for team members, collaborating effectively across teams, driving strategic vision, or solving incredibly complex problems. The journey of intentionally growing through these experiences, rather than fixating on destinations, has been the most valuable lesson I could learn.
