What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

The best piece of advice I’ve ever received came from my parents, who rarely told me exactly what the answer was. Their message was always the same: be curious and always give your best. This advice followed me in slightly altered forms through high school, university, my first professional job, and from the mentors who’ve graciously helped me become who I am today. Being endlessly curious is an intentional skill to cultivate, not just a trait some are born with. It’s advice that has served me throughout my career, and as a nice benefit, it makes life more fun too.
