As director of Recruiting at Newrez, Will Traber has played a pivotal role in building the company’s workforce — and culture — over more than a decade of dedicated service. Starting as the sole recruiter for Servicing, Traber has grown into a company-wide leader, now overseeing a team of 24 Talent Acquisition professionals. His leadership has shaped the organization’s growth through every hiring cycle, directly supporting Newrez’s mission to help more people realize the dream of homeownership.
In 2024 alone, Traber oversaw the hiring and onboarding of more than 3,800 individuals, while participating in 41 career events nationwide. His team’s efforts earned a 96% favorable rating in Newrez’s New Employee Experience Survey, highlighting not only volume and speed, but also the care and thoughtfulness he brings to every candidate and hiring manager interaction.
Traber also continues to expand the company’s early career pipeline through the TRAIL Rising Leaders Program — helping identify and grow the next generation of talent from within. His ability to motivate and mentor others while maintaining operational excellence has multiplied his impact across departments.
