Wes Allen, vice president of Performing Servicing at Mr. Cooper, has spent more than two decades driving operational transformation across nearly every corner of the mortgage lifecycle, including originations, collections, compliance and servicing. In his current role, he leads document administration and acquisitions, managing a team of nearly 250 employees responsible for some of the largest transactions in the mortgage servicing industry.
This past year, Allen oversaw the $264 billion acquisition of Flagstar Bank’s mortgage portfolio, a record-breaking transaction that involved the transfer of over 1.2 million loans. His leadership ensured the smooth onboarding of these loans, including 400,000 in December alone. By implementing automation tools, including AI-powered OCR and API integrations, he has reduced Mr. Cooper’s average boarding time from three days to two — all while transfer volume rose by nearly 24% month over month.
Allen focuses not only on process improvements but also on employee experience.
