Srijana Giri is the senior director of Credit and Capacity in Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Acquisitions Division. Over her decade with the company, Giri has helped lead some of Freddie Mac’s most significant efforts to modernize credit assessment and streamline risk management. Drawing on a background in computer science and an MBA, Giri has built a reputation for developing practical, scalable tools that align with Freddie Mac’s mission of expanding sustainable homeownership.
In the past year, she led the development of Freddie Mac’s Income Calculator, an online tool designed to help lenders calculate borrower income with more consistency and accuracy. This initiative builds on her prior work developing the Asset and Income Modeler (AIM), which introduced digitized paystub and direct deposit analysis to the underwriting process. These innovations improve speed and transparency in credit assessments while maintaining responsible lending practices.
Giri also helped reimagine Freddie Mac’s Loan Product Advisor® with the LP 6.0 release, leading the overhaul of the Feedback Certificate and introducing LPA Choice messaging — both aimed at delivering clearer, more actionable insights to lenders.
Her approach is marked by cross-functional collaboration, clear communication and an ability to simplify complex frameworks for broader adoption. Whether engaging internal teams, lenders or regulators, Giri is consistently focused on building tools that deliver both technical rigor and real-world usability.
With more than 15 years in the housing and mortgage industry, her work continues to shape Freddie Mac’s evolving credit strategy and has helped drive broader market adoption of automated, data-driven solutions.
