2025 HousingWire Insider: Holly Decardenas

Holly Decardenas

Holly Decardenas, vice president of Architecture at LoanLogics, leads the design and development of core technologies supporting one of the mortgage industry’s most widely used platforms. Since joining the company in 2018 as a senior software developer, Decardenas has earned three promotions and now oversees the architecture behind systems used by more than half of all U.S. mortgage loans.

Her contributions include the development of a rules-based data translation tool that streamlines processing across over 700 clients — each with unique data formats. The tool simplifies a traditionally complex process and is accessible to users regardless of technical skill level. Decardenas also led the implementation of a unified, single sign-on portal for LoanLogics products, enhancing security and improving the user experience.

Currently, she is the lead architect for a new platform that will connect technologies, users and institutions in a more integrated mortgage ecosystem. Her work reflects a deep understanding of both technical infrastructure and user-centered design, balancing back-end performance with front-end usability.

Decardenas manages a team of developers and architects and is known for her collaborative leadership style. She effectively bridges communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, applying both her coding expertise and her MBA to align system capabilities with organizational goals.

Decardenas contributes as principal cellist in the First Coast Pops Orchestra, highlighting her commitment to community and creativity. Her work at LoanLogics reflects a rare combination of technical depth, leadership and user-focused innovation — driving progress in one of the most complex corners of mortgage tech.
