Bill Warden brings over three decades of experience in public accounting, financial operations and treasury leadership to his role as chief financial officer at Dark Matter Technologies. He is recognized for his highly collaborative approach to problem-solving, driving strategic initiatives and adapting the business to evolving market conditions. Since Dark Matter’s acquisition by the Perseus Operating Group of Constellation Software Inc., he has played a pivotal role in rebuilding the company’s finance team, implementing key systems, establishing its treasury function and strengthening alignment between finance and operations.
Over the past year, Warden successfully led the separation of Dark Matter’s financial systems from Black Knight, reconstructing the finance team and its underlying functions from the ground up. He also oversaw the integration of Dark Matter’s financial systems into its parent company’s ecosystem, and established the company’s headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. His ability to foster collaboration has enabled him to work closely with sales leadership to refine the company’s pricing structure in response to shifting economic conditions. Additionally, he introduced a “deal desk” to enhance contract structures and the client experience. As a trusted advisor to the chief executive officer, he plays a key role in shaping Dark Matter’s financial strategy and market positioning.
Warden’s expertise in financial management, mergers and acquisitions, and change management has been instrumental in Dark Matter’s transition to an independent entity. He is also actively involved in the North Florida community, serving as treasurer and CFO for several nonprofit organizations, including the Cathedral Arts Project, Inc.
