Academy Mortgage EVP of Production Justin Harris is an industry veteran with a true passion for not only the business but the people in it. Harris’ vast experience, proactive approach and continuous contributions have significantly impacted Academy’s ability to be nimble during today’s ever-changing market. Since assuming the role as EVP of Production in September 2022, Harris has been instrumental in helping Academy continue to grow, even in a challenging market, by placing a heavy focus on recruiting and attracting incredible talent to the organization — adding 200-plus originators to the team since September 2022. He has been instrumental in bringing volume to the organization and helping to grow Academy’s presence across the nation by expanding into new markets.

Not only has Harris been a proponent of bringing on new talent, but he has also been a driving force behind Academy’s extensive product portfolio. He has been instrumental in expanding Academy’s product offerings. His ability to affect change and execute plans and strategies in less than a year have allowed Academy to continue to find success, even during times when it may seem difficult.

What has been your secret to success?

For me, relationships are what truly drive success. Our business is all about people — whether it be with our customers, partners, vendors, team members, or community members, every opportunity involves a real relationship. I invest my time in building strong relationships and make it a priority to nurture each one that I have.
