As a results-driven finance leader with experience managing up to a $3 billion hedging pipeline, Mitch Hartshorne has been a driving force in the mortgage and secondary marketing space since beginning his career in 2015, with several promotions under his belt. As Manager of Risk Management in Capital Markets at Supreme Lending, Hartshorne is instrumental in driving profitability and reducing risk by leading trade desk operations, including pricing, hedging, loan sales, and data reporting activities for the company. He understands the ever-evolving nature of the mortgage industry and is dedicated to improving processes to position Supreme Lending for growth and propel the future of lending.
Hartshorne joined Supreme Lending as a trader in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic and historically low interest rate market. While navigating a newly remote working environment, Mitch instantly took the reins and became a significant contributor to Supreme Lending’s secondary marketing initiatives during the company’s accelerated growth and record high loan production. He successfully trained and mentored junior trading desk staff, quickly transforming inexperienced candidates into productive, high-functioning members of the trading desk team. Mitch’s demonstrated leadership led to several promotions at Supreme Lending within a few short years.
Hartshorne is responsible for pricing, hedging, loan sales and all reporting associated with these activities. Mitch actively manages Supreme Lending’s hedging and trade operations, having handled up to a $1 billion to$3 billion pipeline and committed billions in loan volume to dozens of investors with a complex proprietary best execution model. Passionate about mortgage technology, data transparency and risk mitigation, Hartshorne is always finding new solutions to improve processes. With his strong financial analytics knowledge, he has implemented and developed key tools and technology to expand several areas of Supreme Lending’s business and operations.
