Amy Macken started her mortgage career more than 15 years ago with Opus CMC and brought her enthusiasm to Consolidated Analytics in 2018. She is a driven subject matter expert with a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, underwriting and due diligence. Macken has been the primary contact for agency and government loan-related guidelines, led technology focus groups, is the go-to for special projects and is specifically tasked with developing new processes to maximize efficiency and quality and increase profits.

Macken has created professional and company growth opportunities throughout her career, establishing rapport with internal teams and clients. She is entrusted with researching new loan products and developing product strategies to present to business partners. Macken’s expertise in non-QM and niche products brought her to Consolidated Analytics, where she started as a transaction manager managing fix and flip and debt-service coverage ratio (DSCR) Reviews. Macken implemented system enhancements, trained the UW staff and reduced the time to close by 50%. Macken has also developed a new system and improvements to the reporting tool to improve the quality and efficiency of loan reviews. Macken’s focus and determination have expanded CA’s business and product lines. She has rolled out efficiency reporting and implemented communication policies to ensure consistency and quality across the department. She has added a more meaningful structure to the overall diligence process for faster, more accurate reviews for the client.

Macken’s knowledge and expertise have kept her moving up the ranks, and she is currently the senior vice president of due diligence operations. Macken continues to build out automation, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology, driving operational efficiencies. Throughout her career, she has performed at the highest level, always seeking out the best avenues for improvement for employees and clients to reach their goals. 

What is one habit that has helped you succeed?

Persistence. It’s about staying steadfast and committed to your goals, even when faced with challenges. By maintaining a determined attitude and continuously pushing forward, you increase your chances of achieving success in whatever you set out to accomplish. Whether personal or professional pursuits, stay focused, keep going, and don’t let anything deter you from reaching your aspirations.
