Since joining UMortgage as its director of Sales Operations, Mike Farah has been instrumental in the development of the platform’s operations department. Thanks to his leadership and the process efficiencies he’s implemented, UMortgage improved its turn times to 12 calendar days from disclosures to clear-to-close. By tightening turn times and more efficiently managing its pipeline, UMortgage now averages 2.5 loans per month per loan originator (LO).

Farah joined UMortgage in March and immediately put his operational expertise to work. His ability to train the platform’s operations staff to align with updated loan process standards has been crucial to the platform’s ability to scale and manage a higher loan volume. His impact on UMortgage has been essential to the platform’s record-breaking start to the year, with UMortgage’s total loan volume up by more than 20% year-over-year.

As a leader on UMortgage’s operations team, Farah has been a shining example of UMortgage’s core value to Own the Moment by identifying areas of improvement and creating the necessary systems to make those improvements.

From day one at UMortgage, Farah has been developing positive relationships with the platform’s lenders to ensure a smooth handoff from processing to underwriting. By aligning loan submission standards between those lenders and UMortgage’s sales and operations staff, UMortgage has been able to speed up its loan pipeline and manage a higher volume of loans.
