Joel Kirsch is one of Real’s longest tenured employees, having joined Real as employee No. 12 in 2018 when the company had less than 1,000 agents. Throughout his time with Real, he has played an integral role in the company’s rapid growth. In addition to onboarding nearly all of Real’s 19,000-plus agents and overseeing the development of new programs designed to attract more agents to the platform, he is well respected by the company’s internal teams and agents.

If Real were asked to identify the one person who best epitomizes the company’s “Work Hard. Be Kind” value, it would be Kirsch. Kirsch genuinely cares about Real and its agents. Kirsch recalls that when he began interviewing at Real, his biggest priority was to join a company with a mission he could believe in. He says CEO Tamir Poleg’s response to his question about why he founded Real — he wanted to make agents’ lives better and if you treat people right, the rest will come — resonated with him. Kirsch says it made him fall in love with Real, and it’s what motivates him still today.

Kirsch is a firm believer in leading by example. He understands that effective leadership requires not only strong management skills but also the willingness and ability to engage directly in tasks to achieve objectives. Kirsch holds that leadership is something to be earned rather than bestowed, and he is committed to consistently giving 100% to both the business and the teams he collaborates with every day.
