Kent Cheng joined eXp World Holdings as Global Controller in April 2020, and was promoted to Chief Accounting Officer in April 2021. In late 2023, he was promoted to Principal Financial Officer. He oversees the global finance operations for eXp World Holdings and its subsidiaries. Cheng brings decades of expertise in global finance, accounting and information technology and excellent leadership to guide the company through a turbulent real estate market and challenging regulatory environment.

Cheng scaled up global financial planning and analysis, tax and treasury, and internal control functions to support business operations and manage the company’s costs, liquidity, internal control and risk in 24 counties. Due to the company’s strong financial performance, eXp World Holdings was first included in the S & P SmallCap 600 in June 2023.

He partnered with eXp brokerage team and implemented real-time payments through the RTP network via an application programming interface (API), enabling the immediate commision money deposit to more than 75,000 agents’ bank accounts in the United States. eXp is an early adopter of the real-time payment technology at the enterprise level and greatly improved real estate agent satisfaction and experience.

Cheng provided superior leadership and partnership with the eXp management team to guide the company through one of the most severe real estate market downturns in recent history. Recently, he partnered with the company’s CEO and audit committee in managing a seamless CFO transition.
