MBA Chairman Matt Rocco on how the rapidly changing market influences banks

This week’s episode follows right the back end of the Mortgage Banker’s Associate’s Technology Solutions Conference, so we couldn’t think of a more appropriate time to drop Clayton’s great interview with the chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association and President of Colliers Mortgage, Matt Rocco.

Clayton and Matt talked about how quickly the market is changing, how that flows to impact banks, and how that then flows to impact loan officers. Given Matt’s strong background in multifamily and commercial real estate, their conversation takes an approach that connects what’s happening in the rental market and how that impacts the single-family homeownership market.

They also take a look at the MBA’s current role in the real estate market, and current commercial real estate outlooks with specific consideration of the recent news about GSE credit loss preparation.
