Washington welcomes back Wall Street with warnings

Publicly Washington will continue to bash Wall Street into 2011. “Wall Street” now being the loosest of terms to reflect any firm involved in mortgage finance. But that will matter little to Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), incoming chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which is expected to lead the charge to investigate the role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the foreclosure crises.
