NMLS View on State-Licensed Mortgage Entites 

The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) published a report compiling data regarding the status of state approved entities and licenses tracked though the NMLS system for the first two quarters of 2011. According tot he NMLS "Nationwide View on State Licensed Mortgage Entites" report, at the end of the first quarter 2011, there were 131,035 total entities licensed in the NMLS, including, 14,980 company licenses, 15,957 branch licenses and 100,098 individual licenses. Among the companies licensed, 3,515 self-reported reverse mortgages in their business actives, amounting to 23% of the licensed companies.
