While many tech start-up founders come from technology industries, Ligris had a storied career within the mortgage industry before starting Stavvy. Having owned a title and settlement business for almost 20 years, he understands the unique challenges that come with processing mortgages and is excited by the opportunity to reduce the use of paper by digitizing the process.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? 

My late father taught me to believe in people and to do things for others while expecting little or nothing in return. It’s important to help others because you should and not because you have an agenda.
